As of last Tuesday we became a 4 car family. The one Vicki drives, the two I used to drive (depending on which one was able to be driven) and now the one that will replace those two! I don’t know what happened to the pickup, just won’t start. And, I think something happened during the ice storm that caused the radiator to fail. Its always had trouble overheating but this time I was getting anti-freeze leaking out as well. Last Monday when the Saturn had given its last we decided we had to go get another car. I drive all over town all day so I needed something good on gas and with the baby on the way we needed some room and a little comfort would be nice along with. We got all we wanted and a little more.

We’d been looking over the last two weeks and had a couple of possibilities in mind. We found a nice Acura. While researching it found a couple more and when the failed completely we took Tuesday off to go look at one more Acura that just happened to be an hour outside of town in Ardmore. If it wasn’t good enough we’d come back to the city to check the dealers or buy one of the others we’d had in mind. No matter what we had to buy that day.

This one was in really good shape. An ‘03 with 107k miles.  NADA had it at $10+k and KBB was $11k retail.  We got a really good deal, paid a little more than I wanted but I don’t have the horse trading skills of my dad and brothers. And, the salesman could tell we liked it so playing hard ball would have been kind of silly.
